I am frustrated and so finished with homeschooling. God, please give the strength to finish this year. How do you teach a child who is unwilling to learn? Who argues with everything you teach? I'm tired and unsure of what to do. Writing this down helps but it doesn't solve the problem. I've been told that homeschooling your child can draw you closer together unfortunately this is not the case. I can't write anymore for fear that I might write something I will regret later on. Pray for me.

Dear Lizzie

I've been loving the Dear Lizzie line from American Crafts. The colours are so cheery and versatile. Some of my favourite pages are using these products. Here's a peek:

Dandelion Prince and Princess

Since the dandelions are in full bloom, I figured we could make good use out of them by making dandelion crowns. So I present to you now, Prince Kaleb and Princess Rachel:

That's What I'm Talking About

Over the last couple of years, God has been stretching, challenging and given Paul a desire to do what we're all called to do as Christians...be "fishers of men". I have supported him in all this but never really had a desire to evangelize or hand out tracts. Lately though, I've sensed this desire in my life. There are lost people out there and do I care enough to do anything about it? I'd like to say "yeah, of course" but when it comes down to it, I'm nervous and unprepared. I've been reading this excellent book by Mark Cahill called "One Thing You Can't Do in Heaven", which is of course to share your faith. Anyway, it's very informative and inspiring and challenging to say the least.

Well today I had an opportunity to tell someone about my wonderful Savior. I won't go into all the details, but it was incredible to talk to someone about the Lord knowing I'm bringing Him glory. I look forward to more opportunties and pray that God will use me and all those who follow Him 'cause after all that is our purpose.

From Tree to Table

At our new home we have a wonderfully abundant apple tree.

Nearly every day, the kids and I walk down to find ourselves the reddest, biggest and most blemish free apples we can to enjoy.

But many of the apples are best suited for pies and applesauce.

So being the talented homemaker that I am (joking) I made a pie, with many more to come I'm sure.

Enjoy!

A trip to the farm

I took the kids to Birchwood Dairy today. We needed to get out of the house, and since Nathan is into farms and it was a beautiful day, I decided this was the place to go.

After the tour, we had lunch and an ice cream and played around the farm for a bit. Of course the kids enjoyed themselves.

date night

I got to go out with my honey the other night. We strolled along White Rock beach and enjoyed an ice cream while enjoying each other. Of course I brought along my camera. Here are some snapshots from the most lovely evening.

(okay, so I had a few pics to post but they aren't uploading, so Paul is all you get to see)
